5th District officers dispatched at 8:45 p.m. to the Giant Food store in the 18300 block of Leaman Farm Road in Germantown for a shooting. UPDATE: The U-Haul was reported stolen yesterday. The first call for a collision was reported at 9:45 a.m. It struck the first vehicle at Strathmore and Rockville Pike. It continued up Rockville Pike and the front wheel fell off the U-Haul and the wheel of the U-Haul struck another vehicle at Nicholson Lane. It was then involved in a third collision at Josiah Henson and East Jefferson Ave where the truck became disabled after it crossed Montrose Road. The driver, an adult female, then got out of the truck and ran away where she was apprehended in the area of Federal Plaza by 1 & 2D officers. No reported injuries from any of the collisions. Charges pending. #MCPD #MCPNews
