@DynoGameTheory @OTCFantasy_ I like to think that target earning at a high level boils down to three things: route running, catch point ability, and YAC. And without much YAC juice at all, there’s just not a strong case to feed him manufactured touches. I gotta believe that’s his issue here

We are always playing a game of probability. Not certainty. I would just ask, who is the elite NFL Wide Receiver who had a college career target rate under 20%? I’m not saying he won’t succeed, I’m saying nothing is a foregone conclusion and this is the risk.

Do you evaluate a receiver’s career in your rankings or just recent season? Curious how you weigh Concepcion’s poor 2024 season. It can’t just all be excused away with poor QB play considering the NC Stat QBs performed significantly worse targeting him vs the rest of the team. Also the fact he ranked 3rd on the team in rec yards and 200 less yards than Justin Joly (QB rating 50 points worse than Joly’s also). There’s also an argument to be made KC wasn’t the best receiver on Texas A&M this year. Mario Craver had the same amount of yards and receptions despite playing 1 less game and running 100 fewer routes. Curious how / if you weigh that in your evaluation

There was a big debate in 2018 as to who was WR1 between Calvin Ridley and DJ Moore. Ridley was the more pro-ready player, but was 24 going into his rookie season. Moore was the more talented player and was only 20. 9 years later, Moore has nearly 3,000 more yards and earned a new contract in 2026. Ridley just had to take a pay cut to avoid being released by the Titans.
