Speaking at a press conference, they said a recent court ruling reaffirmed the family’s ownership rights and urged that the decision be respected. They also called for the dispute to be resolved through legal channels and warned against any attempts to seize the land by force. The elders said they expect both the Habar Gidir clan and the Somali government to respect their call and ensure the court’s decision is upheld.
