Total crypto market cap has been moving in clear expansion phases Impulse → consolidation → higher range. Repeat. What stands out here: ➤ Every pullback stays well above the previous base ➤ Corrections are controlled, not panic-driven ➤ Structure keeps stair-stepping higher on the weekly We’re sitting around ~2.9T after a healthy reset, not a breakdown Historically, this zone acts more like reloading than distribution If this pattern continues, the next expansion leg targets a fresh high into the 4T+ zone This is structure being built

Binance launched perps for Silver on the 7th Jan. As per my previous thesis on exchanges having a distribution moat, volumes on Binance have surpassed those on @tradexyz and the margin continues to increase. However, it is still remarkable that volumes on Hyperliquid for Silver are 35% of that on Binance. On top of that Trade has 2.5x more open interest and a 0.1% spread has 5x more depth than that on Binance. So while Binance is winning on raw volume, Hyperliquid is offering a meaningfully better execution environment than the leading CEX. Fees are also not the differentiator here. Binance charges 0.04% taker and 0% maker, while Hyperliquid is 0.009% taker and 0.003% maker. The fee difference is marginal. Binance’s volume lead mostly comes down to access and distribution. Binance is set to launch perps for TSLA which will be the next test for Trade but traction so far has been impressive. Hyperliquid

Why does Maple Finance stand out as a resilient business among DeFi protocols? > Maple Finances clients are accredited Institutions who can borrow in size. > The business is built on the premise of exceptional execution of over collateralised fixed-term loans that are fast to execute after diligent onboarding. > Institutional borrowers when satisfied with execution are returning customers. The product moat is their Institutional clients which is a derivative of fast executable loans and loan management flexibility. > Based on the above they are able to deliver exceptional stablecoin yields via syrupUSDC and syrupUSDT which begets more liquidity for their Institutional clients and a larger loan book size. > Protocol revenue is a take rate on the borrow interest Institutions pay on their loans. In summary, this goes down to what I call Institutional DeFi. Traditional money markets demand is based on the demand for leverage. Institutional clients not only execute in larger size but are much more active than other user bases in DeFi executing a wide range of strategies. Institutional access will be the main driver for DeFi in it's next growth phase alongside FinTech distribution and consumer apps offering alternative yield. $SYRUP

Perp trading is brutal. 90% of traders lose money. But there's a cheat code most people don't know about: profitable wallets on Hyperliquid are fully visible. There are free tools that let you see exactly how consistent winners are positioned. It's like copying off the kid who always aces the test. 3 tools I've been using: /1 @HyperTracker tracks millions of Hyperliquid wallets and buckets them by size and profitability. You get: • Real-time positioning from top performers • Liquidation risk across price ranges • Directional bias trends over time I've been building a watchlist of traders who consistently outperform. One pattern keeps showing up: smaller and unprofitable wallets skew way more bullish on average. Make of that what you want, but I find it useful for gauging crowd sentiment. /2 @hypurrdash just dropped their v2 trading terminal with copytrading baked in. You can mirror up to 3 wallets simultaneously, and the system replicates their net exposure. A couple tips: • Filter for swing or position traders working longer timeframes • Avoid wallets with tons of positions open. You might accidentally copytrade a market maker. /3 @trysuper_ offers similar tracking and copytrading, but with more control: • Long-only or short-only filtering • Token whitelists and blacklists • A copytrading backtester (actually useful) Don't just ape blindly. Execution lag means you won't perfectly replicate returns. I come in with my own thesis first, then use these tools to gut-check or find new ideas. I haven't automated anything yet. Just tracking and learning. If you test it, start small.

what does this mean? the economy isn’t breaking. - jobs are still there - people are still spending - governments keep injecting money into the system prices aren’t collapsing anymore, but they’re not exploding either. this puts central banks in a tight spot because they can’t stimulate too much, but they can’t tighten aggressively. the result? growth continues, markets grind higher over time, with a lot of volatility along the way. this isn’t a crisis setup, it’s an opportunity setup if you can handle the swings.

$BTC vs. Gold Weekly RSI has only been this low 3 times since 2018. Currently at Key Support, worst case scenario, we tag the level below. Either way, the bull case remains.

Some analysis on HYPE: > Price has largely been a derivative of large entities liquidating large amounts of spot being Trove for 500K HYPE and Tornado Cash entity who has $32M in spot left to sell concluding Jan 26th 2026. > According to MLM/Qwantify that the core contributor unlocks being sent to FlowDesk are being acquired by PURR using their $275M cash balance post their share buyback. > PURR filed an S-1 to issue 160M shares of common stock to raise $1Bn which will be primarily used for HYPE acquisition. I think what this means is the core contributor unlocks can largely be negated given the PURR DAT looks to be accumulating any sells from here. What does need to happen is the Tornado Cash entity to finish selling. On all relevant metrics HYPE is ticking upwards and forward looking flows from full scaled portfolio margin I don't believe are priced in for a risk-on regime. In low vol regimes HYPE seems to be earning a base $600M ARR and in high vol regimes >$1Bn ARR. I think somewhere in the middle is fair for cash flows being $800-900M ARR. In summary this is all forced selling and once behind us I think it makes the case for a HYPE generational bottom. $HYPE
