It started with Cursor in this AI pilot: medium.com/vipps/from-we-… 5 minutes into Codex, I knew it was the right tool. It feels natural. Like chatting with developers in Slack. Love it.

I’ve been testing the new Codex app from @OpenAI for a month as a designer. My mind is blown. Suddenly there are no limits. Building rich, interactive iOS prototypes across iPhone, iPad and Mac in days feels totally normal now.

What made it possible: • Start building, not discussing • Scope hard to move fast and stay safe • Design behavior, not just UI • Use AI to improve AI • Build confidence by shipping This wasn’t about getting AI right. It was about learning fast enough to matter.

“We don’t have time for AI.” That was our reality through 2025. Then something changed. We went from no AI product to shipping one to millions in 5 weeks.

From “we don’t have time for AI” to “what else can we do?” Had a great day in Bergen sharing how Vipps MobilePay went from AI lagger to launching our first AI powered product across Norway. Small team. Tight scope. Hard trade-offs. Shipped fast without compromising trust.

One underrated skill: asking the stupid questions experts dismiss. Great interview with James Dyson on focus, determination and naivety. x.com/davidsenra/sta…

A week after our first in-app AI experiment in Vipps MobilePay, we’re launching the next step: the Christmas Helper. New: • Add products to your Vipps wishlists • Get suggestions for donation-based gifts This is only the beginning as we learn how AI can simplify the wallet.

This experience has given me a clearer view of how AI will change how we build products. It opens new ways to test, ship and learn at a speed we haven’t seen before. And even better, it makes the work more fun.

A personal first for me: I’ve stepped in as product lead for our new AI initiative. Working hands-on with AI has sped up my learning in ways I didn’t expect. It helps me move faster across design, product thinking and the more technical work with the team.

We just launched our first in-app AI experiment in @Vipps MobilePay: a simple Black Week assistant built to learn fast and explore how AI can simplify the wallet for 12M Nordic users.

6/ Design Days X AI reminded us: AI doesn’t replace designers, it amplifies them. In an AI-first world, design becomes even more important. Designers live at the intersection of human needs, tech, and business, perfectly placed to spot new connections and bring new ideas to life.

5/ Beyond the fun, these new skills strengthen how we deliver for users. Faster prototyping and closer collaboration mean we can test real solutions sooner and improve experiences for 12 million people.

Had a blast teaming up with Isak Rathe Støre for this year’s AI hackathon at Vipps MobilePay — and we won 🤯 The real win? Seeing how AI (and new ideas like ACP, A2P, and MCP) lets us design experiences where steps don’t just simplify, they disappear. Excited for what’s next 🚀
