@NoahPasternak It all matters how the finale goes in the end, but if they can make the boys + Ashley’s + whoever suicide run to defeat homelander a good episode that’ll be great. I don’t think every loose story thread needs to be tied up, which is maybe a controversial opinion.

@NoahPasternak those who tried to ride the winning train (Ashley, deep) and how the boys have to build back hope after homelander got the V1. Which… seems good? Obviously the expectation was a build up to one final battle, but I think subverting that expectation has been fine so far imo.

The Boys isn't one of my all-time favorite shows or anything, but like 95% of the criticism of the recent season I've seen seems to be coming from people who are just half-watching the show and scrolling through their phone. Like what is going on

Hot take, but I actually think it's more satisfying to see him slowly lose literally everything he ever found joy in, rather than just killing him outright. I want to see him sad and alone and hated by everyone who ever made the mistake of tolerating him.

Just like he can’t accept having raped the love of his life, having raped her because he couldn’t accept she was leaving him in the first place.

Once Upon a Time in America (1984) was meant to be Leone’s grand gangster epic, running over four hours. For its U.S. release, it was cut down to about 2 hours and 20 minutes and rearranged in chronological order, destroying the dreamlike structure he had spent years building. For mafia cinema lovers, it remains a true tragedy.

Putting Air on this list is hilarious. One of the most “paint by numbers” movies I’ve ever seen. It has all the presentation of a good movie without the writing to actually make it good movie.

@TrueSlazac I mean it was the highest grossing movie of all time till gone with the wind overtook it in the 1940s. Obviously still racist, but would be a pretty common answer back then.

This is impossible because I can’t think of a trilogy whose third film is the best or would really blow my mind the most. I’m always tempted to go with The Godfather trilogy, but the 3rd film here just doesn’t meet expectations so this can’t be the answer. I’m literally stuck.
