@Kelvininred It completely deviates from the games, it's an objectively terrible story on its own, good scenes in isolation don't make it amazing and I'd rather have nothing if the new things are slop
English

I genuinely will never understand people who call this anime “trash”. Yeah, it deviated from the games a bit, but that doesn’t make it bad in the slightest.
It’s still an amazing show, and scenes like this prove it. And if the show ends up getting canceled, then all the people claiming to be fans of the franchise really aren’t gonna get anything new anytime soon. So it’s better to just enjoy what we actually get while it’s here
English

@Manga_Kamen This is not what CANON Sparda is like, this could be in Netflix Sparda's character for all we know
English

@PyroMaker3 By giving Vergil an op feat that retroactively damages this scene but it's going to make him too op so he's going to get over nerfed again, rinse and repeat
English

this show keeps on nerfing these guys despite acting like they're super powerful and such a huge threat
How are we meant to see Vergil as a threat exactly??
Yakissoba@HeyYakissoba
Pega um dos caras mais fodas dos jogos e de DMC e coloca ele quase desmaiando com choque, igual uma puta Cara. O exército americano. Humanos aleatórios. Fizeram o Vergil DEIXAR A YAMATO CAIR NO CHÃO POR CAUSA DE UM CHOQUE ELÉTRICO
English

@HeyYakissoba In S1 we see Dante move so fast that time slowed down from his pov and Vergil is supposed to be around the same power lvl as Dante, so add this to the long list of inconsistencies in this series
English

@RaysimBoss @KaiKai2492 Vergil, Nero and Lady went through character arcs, the inconsistent character is Dante from 3 onwards in comparison to 1 and 2
English

@KaiKai2492 If we were real, even the game characters aren’t consistent within its own franchise.
Vergil from DMC 3 and V are not the same character.
Same with Nero from 4 and V or Lady between 3 and V
Dante’s woohoo pizza man in 3, 4 and 5 don’t at all resemble Dante in 1 and 2
English

Game Vergil would actually kill this dude for calling their mom weak.
His entire pursuit of power, quite literally stems from his childhood desire to be protected by his mother who never reached him before she was killed. The MAIN factor for his lust for strength is a deep desire to never allow something like his mothers death to happen again.
V spills his guts to Trish because she is a physical copy of her and he desperately tries to save her.
These straight up aren't even Dante, Vergil and Lady anymore, these aren't the same characters at all.
noodle@dokidokidante
dropping this like 2 days after mother's day is crazy work
English

@yoshy8654 @SheevTalks People who praised the episode on tiktok and twitter.

I think the most damning piece of evidence that Born Again fans have never seen the original show is that they treat the concept of ACTUAL good writing like it's some ancient myth
Yen 🫶🏻 FOGGY LIVES@Murdocklorian
#DaredevilBornAgain s2 ep8 spoilers . . . . . This gotta be some next level lawyering
English

It is objectively bad. It lacks internal consistency across the board. And it repeatedly and mercilessly contradicts the OG at every turn.
Spider-Dunk@spidermanias
I don’t even want to argue with you about it. I don’t give a fuck about why you don’t like it. Truly don’t. I just am tired of reading your incessant rants on a show that’s been very well received. I can understand if the show was ACTUALLY bad. But nope.
English

I like how people in the comments are like "how could u have not known that? she was having visions of muse"
Ah yes because having visions of a serial killer automatically means they're becoming them and it couldn't have just been them having PTSD
Pyro ⚡@PyroMaker3
I WAS JOKING WHEN I SAID THAT
English

@EndZangetsu @burieddontmiss Understanding someone is empathizing with them, which contradicts why Kubo never gave Aizen a backstory
And Kubo could've made Aizen's past unsympathetic; it has been done before in other stories
English

@Maxfury146 @burieddontmiss It was meant to show that Ichigo gained at least some understanding of who Aizen is! Kubo gave a small glimpse of what make’s Aizen tick.
It’s not enough to make Ichigo or the audience pity him as if Aizen was some kinda victim as many backstories tend to do.
English

@S1rflexal0t @burieddontmiss It's more of a villain sympathy fatigue than a backstory fatigue because backstories make a character, especially a villain more grounded
English

@Maxfury146 @burieddontmiss naruto does backstories incredibly well actually it's annoying to see it used as slander just cuz they have backstories at all. that being said i can understand why people can get fatigued by it.
English

@KeyVagabon @burieddontmiss And he had Ichigo share what he understood about Aizen, allowing the audience to empathize with him and having a character understand another character who was intended to be mysterious will raise questions
So no matter how you look at it, this will cause issues
English

@Maxfury146 @burieddontmiss He wanted Ichigo to empathize with Aizen, not us.
English

@aratata46 Son they just reused the same lil kids in the purge sequence 😭
English

@BlessedSouthpaw "dont worry the overhaul team is gonna fix the show with season 2" 🤪
English

@PyroMaker3 "No, it's an exception with <insert pfp> fans"
Honestly, just take it as a compliment to the quality of your argument because they're just being desperate at that point
English

@PyroMaker3 I had to turn on captions and replayed that scene about 3 times to make sure I wasn't mishearing things
English
