Okay. I'll take some hate for this. 1. We were told in Ep II that the clones were engineered to be more docile and obedient. 2. Which means even pre Clone Wars show those Clones probably didn't 'really' have a choice in order 66. The cards were stacked against them. 3. That doesn't make the BF 2 monologue any less compelling. Temuera understood the assignment and absolutely kills it with that performance, but it is worth keeping in mind that they may not have entirely been moral free agents in the sense a normal human is. 4. The Clone Wars shifts the narrative on the Clones to make them a part of the overall tragic tapestry of the prequels. Like nearly everyone else, the clones were victims of his schemes, probably more than other group. They ARE portrayed as moral free agents that have their agency stripped from them. 5. All this is to say is that, really, both versions of the story work well for very different reasons.

I made this like a year ago, and taking a closer look at it, I’d probably switch Attack of the Clones and TCW movie but that’s about the only change I’d make

The whole concept of "May the 4th" is to replace holidays supporting real heroes and the saints with made up fiction like a corporate IP, Star Wars. When you see it from that perspective, it becomes mega-cringe because you realize it's about erasing history to dumb down the populace into complete zombies. It's working too, is the worst part. Why do people celebrate this slop?

@Libhawkish A) I dont deny that he’s *busy*, I deny that he’s so busy that whatever he’s doing takes priority over going after someone like Maul. B) When, in Rogue One, did Vader play with his food?

@SheevTalks I don’t think the show needs to tell us that Vader is busy, we can make that assumption knowing what we do about his character. He waits to attack them when they’re cornered. He makes mistakes when he plays with his food often, that’s something weve seen in movies like Rouge One.

One criticism I don’t really like is people asking why Vader is there. The REAL issue is that he didn’t get involved way sooner, given how important Maul is and the many personal reasons Vader would want to hunt him himself

@SheevTalks I'm not saying that your opinion is wrong. Everyone can have their own opinion. You can dislike the story, or whatever. But you can't say that this show is poorly animated. It's simply bs. Do I really have to explaind to you this?

Oh man, a lot to unpack here. Initial thoughts? I'm really glad they're already working on the 2nd season. The story has ENORMOUS potential, especially the character of Devon. Apart from that, the fight choreography in this show is on another level. #MaulShadowLord

@Boongo_15 There fundamentally IS no difference, because what you’ve effectively asked me to do is overlook all the plethora of bad in the show and zero in on the good, not seeming to realize that the “good” is so few and far between that I actually WOULD have to nitpick to find it.

@Boongo_15 scene, I don’t really know why you’re making any kind of deal about that when it’s honestly a nothing tweet. Has no bearing on the overall quality of the rest of the show, or even just the animation. Just a thing that personally held me up, and I felt it worth sharing.

@Libhawkish No, the show needs to establish that he’s busy elsewhere if I’m to accept that defense. And whatever he’s busy would need to be EXTREMELY important for him to continue prioritizing it over catching Maul

@SheevTalks Considering, he is the empire‘s number two, there’s a pretty high likelihood he was doing something important already and didn’t want to spend his time sitting on a planet looking for maul if he wasn’t there anyways.

@SheevTalks What? This scene isn't even bad like come on man. You're criticising Maul for everything since day 1, why not praise them for the good stuff? They did a fantastic job with the animation, the choreography. You don't like the story? Fine, but stop saying that this is bad animation.
