@hot_cocoa_girl You literally don't know what "small business" means. Do you know how difficult it is to have a successful business that you can extract even a 60,000 dollars a year salary from sustainably.
The majority of all small businesses can't even turn a profit
English

@DealsFinderUK Crazy how they can sell it that cheaply and still make a profit

A lot of your favorite gurus on X suffer from small town syndrome.
They have some modicum of success in Athens, Tampa or whatever else podunk town and start thinking they fart cotton candy.
It's critical at a young age to expose yourself to tier 1 competition just so you don't start blabbering and act foolish when you get a couple shekels or small Ws under your belt.

@AlpacaAurelius Also my experience of the last weeks. Had to cut out my coffee (and I drank o ly one cup per day) and a few days later everything got so much easier. Never going back to chronic coffee consumption ever again

your life gets about a billion times better when you calm your nervous system....and science backs this up.
when you chill out, you become more attractive, blood flow to your face increases, voice deepens, you become more magnetic.
people want to be around you more, everything feels easier, you have way more creative ideas.
life is more playful and less of a battle.
calming your nervous system is the ultimate cheat code

@TheInfoDon Maybe the case if you operate against mid tier competition but against elite level competition the story is completely different

As much as people on twitter like to pretend they work all day
You physically can't sustain that for any meaningful period
The most you can realistically work 18+ hour days for
Is like 5-7 days before you just crash out
Even working 10 hour days with consistency is not feasible, sustainable or even beneficial
I've always made more money working less
Your brain needs at least 6-8 hours a day of being able to detach from an activity
In order to think about bigger objectives than just the current work
Never seen a founder progress working 18 hour days over a long period of time
There is a time and a place for short bursts of work
But you will never have the mental space to operate anything larger than you otherwise
Whenever I catch myself in this loop the first thing I think is how can I decrease my work hours
Huge progress always follows

Game theory proves that the most cooperative people in any group are usually the most exploited. Not because they are weak, but because they are fundamentally more predictable: Every "defecting strategy" relies on the foolishness of unconditional cooperators. Cooperators expect reciprocity; what they truly get is betrayal. Cooperation must be conditional; otherwise, you will pay.

I would rather build with someone stupid who believes it can work than a genius who has already decided it wont. because the genius will be right about everything, and you will both starve together with his correct analysis. while the stupid one is already moving, already failing, already getting hit and getting back up. and you look at him and think, how is this idiot winning? and the answer is, he never stopped long enough to realize he shouldnt be. and God has always worked this way. he picked shepherds, not scholars. he made the seas through a mans speech. He chose Moses who stuttered over men who spoke beautifully. the mouth that cannot explain why it will work is the mouth that will scream it into existence, while the eloquent ones are still reviewing the proposal

So yeah basically what happens is at 27 you pick one of two lanes:
1. Get married
2. Become a weird person who runs.
If option 2 is you, welcome. You now wear a garmin. You now share “Aura” to your Instagram story. Daily. You think people care you ran 10 miles. (They don’t.) You own more running shoes than regular shoes. Your Saturdays are dedicated solely to long runs. You have one friend you only see when you run together. This is your life now.
