Through all the ups and downs, surprises and triumphs, building Destiny alongside our players has been a monumental privilege. While our love for Destiny 2 has not changed, it has become clear that after The Final Shape, we have reached the time for our shared worlds, and Destiny, to live beyond Destiny 2. As our focus turns towards a new beginning for Bungie, we will begin work incubating our next games. To that end, on June 9, 2026, we will release the final live-service content update for Destiny 2 to begin that new journey as a studio. Though active development may be concluding, we will ensure that Destiny 2 remains playable, just as the original Destiny is today. Many changes in this final update will aim to ensure that Destiny 2 is a welcoming place for players to return to. We’re proud of Destiny 2, the places it took us, and the legacy it has created. Because of you all, our universe is vast, built on years of shared stories, adventures, and victories. From the Cosmodrome to the Pale Heart to the Lawless Frontier, we have forged life-long memories and friendships with you all. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made that journey with us. From the deepest part of our hearts, thank you, and we'll see you in the stars.

I made that first Vault of Glass illustration back in 2016 and it has been an avatar option on bungie.net ever since! dmg04 even retroactively gave me the first artist emblem when those became a thing in D2.

@asalisbury Thank you! I'm affected by the "Drop 7" codex not unlocking even after multiple 7+ eliminations in Cryo. It's the only thing I'm missing for Vidmaster, do you think this will be fixed before season 2?

Creators, no matter what size your community is you should have more tools to keep yourself safe out there. With the launch of Season 2 we'll be doing some work to better help you protect yourself from would-be ne'er-do-wells - including: ➡️ The ability to hide you and your Crew’s names on your screen. ➡️The ability to replace your in-run name with a generic one across places like pings, kill feed, death recap, and spectate. ➡️The ability to replace other players’ names on your screen with generic names. ➡️A configurable matchmaking delay to help make stream sniping harder. And of course, the above will be available to all players. We always want to do everything we can to ensure a fair and safe gameplay experience in Marathon. Keep the feedback coming!

@Leave_MeBee @personalhimbo fyi this guy channel was full of ai slop (vtuber model/thumbnails) before his rebrand. He's now spearheading the witch hunt on NA, while at first he asked for the tech and thought it was funny. And scream at his teammates all the time. Weird vibes is right I think.
