@thetrainline Hello, I’ve followed the procedure on your web page to add a bicycle reservation to my journey(s) and not heard back at all. It’s been three days. Are you able to help get it sorted?
@HealthCareersUK Hi thanks for getting back to me, I had been online since 11 am when applications opened. Shortly before your reply and a few refreshes later, the link to the application portal appeared. Thanks for your suggestions!
@MaximalSkondras Hi Alexander,
Detailed information about the STP programme including frequently asked questions, applicant guidance, and the application process can be found on the Schools website:

@HealthCareersUK I'm very keen to get my application for the STP started today and have saved the date to do so. Looking at the quick guide to apply and important documents I can't see how I can actually begin my application i.e apply now! Can you advise me?
@utkarshaavarshn@AkaashKumarBME@AcademicChatter I second this, get up as if you had to commute, get dressed from whatever you slept in and work. I found I was more productive when you start the day with intent! Also, set a cutoff time. It’s easy to “just do this little bit” - DONT! Set a time and down tools for the day
I’ve always preferred studying away from home (office/libraries etc) This lockdown has taught me to invest in your home workspace. What are some other tactics students use to maintain productivity at home? #AcademicTwitter@AcademicChatter#HigherEd#education
@LazyCon_Gaming@ronbcomics@NADDPod All of the above! I can only hope that one day there is a need for the group to operate under transparent shady aliases and that somewhere a business card is produced with the names zonk, honk and bonk 🤞
@EONhelp I've been unable to log in to my account for around 6 weeks now. I get the "Woops something's blown it" message every time. Any ideas when this will be resolved?
@AcademicChatter Awful advice! plan out the time you have available and alot the time you need to complete your work plus a week or so extra(just incase). Use the rest of your time to exercise, clean, watch a show, do anything but think about your project!
Anonymous question
"My supervisor said we should be thinking about our thesis ALWAYS- at the desk, in the supermarket queue, in bed before getting up, on the toilet even. Productive and potentially useful to wholeheartedly throw yourself in, or dangerous and unproductive?"
@AcademicChatter Fine to say it would mean alot to you to try this individually or uncomfortable asking publisher to add another co-editor. Conversley, its annoying for students when a book contains the knowledge they need but at too high a level. A non-expert opinion could aid your editing

"I’m a PhD candidate & worked in my field for decades. A publisher asked me to be a textbook editor. I told my PhD advisor. He offered to co-edit, but doesn’t have knowledge of the topic . How do I gently say I’m not interested in him as co-editor?"
Hi Everyone! As part of a public engagement module at university I've made a podcast talking abit about my research area for this year. If you're bored at home, it may not cure your boredom but it will be something different to do, so please have a listen!
