Hello, our open return journey train was cancelled and a rail replacement bus was offered. This would've made us late to an event so we had to make alternate travel arrangements. Your AI said we may be eligible for compensation/a refund, but stops working. Any help? @thetrainline

@RobbieTollon I could understand you frustration however once a ticket has been used to reach it's destination, it's considered used and non-refundable. Delay Repay claims are handled by the operator and we have no control over their processes. Thanks. ~Lorcan

@thetrainline im wondering if you could help me my first train from birstol to newton was delayed by 40 mins and my train from newton to Paignton was cancelled tjis happened yesterday evening and it’s giving me no option for a refund or Comp!!!

@peachy_keee Off-Peak Returns allow you to board alternative trains. However, you must follow all restrictions your ticket might have such as time, route and operator specified. Please be advised that there are no time restrictions for trips on weekends. Thanks. ~Lorcan

@thetrainline hi, if my plans have changed today and I can now make an earlier train (from Nuneaton to Stoke) would this be allowed on my ticket? it only highlights later trains and not any earlier!

@thetrainline @trainline I booked a UK rail ticket, but the website issued an 08:19 train instead of the afternoon train I selected. Your change page loops with "Booking not eligible for change", the support form doesn't work, and WhatsApp hasn't responded. Can someone pls help?

@thetrainline you guys are disgraceful you charge people to pay extra so they can refund their ticket then when I go ti refund my ticket it says non refundable absolute disgrace and then it says I can exchange for a different date however that comes with a £10 charge 😡

@sianbechi I've checked that trains schedule on the national database. I can see that it was changed on 9/07/26 to depart at 19:48. The next day, 10/07/26 it was changed back to 19:16.  It doesn't give me any reason why the train operator did this. Our system automatically sends out alerts.

@thetrainline I had an email on 9th July saying my train time had changed on 17/07 to 19.48.Original journey 19.16 but no trains have changed on your website for new tickets. No trains at 19.48?!
