had such a difficult June. lost out on a permanent housing situation last minute because I got ghosted. ended up taking a room with a random person to give me June to keep looking. He ended up being incredibly emotionally unwell, literally stupid/low IQ and spiritually psychotic

If you and your new partner were heavily into NRE, what are ways that you would reasonably test/poke things to ensure that there's a strong foundation there? Things feel really good. We're talking about big life things and support one another in unique ways, but I'd love to hear from others their take. The goal isn't to whiplash out of NRE just to prove a point, but to make sure we continue being intentional.
