@HImpega @JGPN877 @TBrit90 Dassault will pretend that a further update to the already obsolete Rafale, adding some very basic stealth features at best, & slapping the likewise outdated nEUROn drone next to it, is ‚6th gen‘ while in reality it’s massively lagging behind truly capable real 6th gen jets.

Literally the core of the RAF's future, UK aviation industry and a gold mine of international cooperation and cost sharing, yet we are throwing it away by delaying the DIP.

@leo_caesaris capable as the Israeli Arrow 3 system. Heck, France even delusionally criticized that the capabilities of Arrow 3 would untermine the credibility of the French nuclear deterrent. While in fact it’s doing the opposite.

@leo_caesaris France like any other EU nation has been invited. It is free to integrate SAMP/T into ESSI & to offer it to other European ESSI members. France has just been unhappy that ESSI is an open platform and it can’t force the other participants into buying SAMP/T. Which btw is not as

As explained here many times before, France did not partake (and wasn't even invited, everything was done without Paris' involvement) because adopters did not find it interesting to make use of the SAMP/T system (Franco-Italian aka European) in favor of American & Israeli systems

@leo_caesaris *Thats why the European SkyShield ESSI (including the Arrow 3 system) does exist, protecting two dozen European countries. France has refused though to take part in it.

@ElgoogJ @Sto11235813 @KevElandielB @BaguetteWeapons He was a traitor. Close friend to the russians, directly sharing stuff with the chief engineer of the Russian MiG jets. And as you confirm: Germany honorably makes offers, it’s not abducting/coercing foreigners to build entire industries & then pretend that they are national.

@ElgoogJ @Sto11235813 @KevElandielB @BaguetteWeapons You mean Marcel Bloch, who was jailed by the French government in October 1940 & who was a traitor to Europe, a close ally to the russians? He never was forced to work on German aircraft. Unlike what you French did with the German engineers, scientists & technicians.

The news that Orbán’s people inform Moscow about EU Council meetings in every detail shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. We’ve had our suspicions about that for a long time. That’s one reason why I take the floor only when strictly necessary and say just as much as necessary.

@hubertlepicki @FerdinandLejeu3 @sapitonmix Aldi does have the toughest negotiators which they sent to their suppliers. Negotiating down to cut throat razor-thin margins - but if the suppliers reliably deliver, they’re rewarded with massive order volumes.

Lidl is exactly the kind of company I want Europe to produce. It isn’t super high tech but it’s very lean, automated in so many ways, capital efficient, and provides what feels like an essential public service while promoting cross-EU trade.
Mike Sapiton 🇺🇦@sapitonmix

@actsmaniac One unapologetically good thing about Germany is that it birthed Lidl which single-handedly lowers my grocery bills by hundreds of euros per month. I would trust Lidl to rule the world.

@exotism_enjoyer @ConnorAllenEU Nah, France is very hypocritical. It’s massively buying key US systems itself (MQ-9 Reaper, Hellfire, E-3 AWACS, E-2D Hawkeye, EMALS for PANG) but always tries to lecture other Europeans when they don’t buy uncompetitive obsolete French products.

A few days ago, a fellow lobbyist told me of an EU official informing him that his company 'had made too much money from the internal combustion engine' and that it was no longer acceptable to continue. If you were born in 1992 (as I was), then you'll have felt Europe's economic decline - sinking from 25% of the world economy to ~14%. Because of this market decline, you are (relative to USA/Asia); - Relatively poorer; - Experiencing lower wage growth; - Have less affordable commodities/cost of living; - Have a relatively higher price of imports; By 2050, the drivers of these effects are expected to double, with the relative size of the EU market dropping to less than 10%. The beauty of America First is that it reintroduced the idea of 'putting ourselves first' to the USA, which is entirely alien to the European mainstream. Until we have a similar Europe First moment and drive out the people who think 'making too much money' is a sin, our future is nothing but a slow, depressing, and engineered decline.

@Rouge_Encore @leo_caesaris This guy has just been insulting everyone, an Estonian, the prime minister of Latvia, the prime minister of Denmark (who has been enacting the most sane immigration policy in all of Western Europe), … x.com/leo_caesaris/s…

You have it all, down to LLM generated slop post. The main reason there is no Europe, the singular biggest reason, is this picture and what it elicits in the minds of anyone who wants to do anything great Anyone sane would retreat to the confines of his nation, and build a wall

Chris - The Vibe-Based Systems Engineer™️
Hi! Missile Defense System expert here. There are two US missile defense systems in Romania and Poland coupled with an advanced radar system in Turkey. Additionally, there are forward based US destroyers in Spain. This is all meant to support the defense of Europe from a rogue nation ballistic missile attack. It’s also called Operation Atlantic Sentry. It is a U.S. European Command (USEUCOM) with a NATO mission primarily focused on Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD). Its specific role involves the operation and integration of advanced radar and interceptor systems to protect the alliance from ballistic missile threats. Hope this helps @piersmorgan

So not only has Iran brazenly lied about its ballistic missile range capacity, but this means it can probably hit the UK with them - and we have zero, I repeat ZERO, defence against these missiles. Very worrying.

@OPTester_Chris This defence may be on European soil, but is pretty much US-owned and US-run. The alliance is breaking down in many ways and Europe doesn’t have a system of its own.

@pascalbtr Yes. The German strategy is smarter: instead of wasting tens of billions of € on obsolete aircraft carriers like some wannabe Napoleons next door, Germany is deepening ties with global partners & getting co-basing where it matters.

@Always_Boots @LOS_Fisher @Urbandirt @harrydemps @sylviapfeifer Instead claiming a larger stake for itself than would be justified by French financial stake in the project & another governance model that effectively would make it a solely French Dassault jet with Airbus DS & Indra being relegated to third rate suppliers.
