My least informed opinion is how do you all find the time to listen to/watch an entire podcast episode?

An elder in his eighties living in the closure zone was found deceased this morning. A nearby resident told me that to his knowledge, he'd had an apt until about a month or two ago, was evicted and died on the streets within a few months

@Dogtown7 @MaximumGrindage The current district map is more gerrymandered than the hills district one would be. I don't think there's ever been a D6 or D7 council person from the flatlands.

Anyone remember the Redistricting Commission and this proposed map? This could have been our council boundaries but instead we have the hills infecting each council district.

Here's a very detailed map of the Oakland, CA Mayoral results. Barbara Lee won just about everywhere south of I-580 and did very well in working class black neighborhoods like West Oakland. Loren Taylor's support was mostly constrained to the Oakland Hills.

@ZZZZZZZZZZZack If you’re up for an epic full day hike, I’d recommend a trek out to alamere falls via coast trail from the palomarin trailhead. Stunning coastal views, a chance of elk, and 3 lakes along the way. Check tides if going to Alamere.

Taylor took office after finance committees fraudulently run by his patron, Libby Schaaf, illegally raised money against his competitor--trying to stack the deck at Council w/friendlies like him, and oust unfriendly CMs. She's admitted it on the record; he's still not commented

Anyone know what type of wasp creates these galls? They look like acorns?! Found on scrub oak in a redwood forest in Mendocino county.
