Private property exists without a state by definition, as for property to be private means it is owned without contradiction by one individual. Public property requires a state and can only exist through contradictory ownership structures.

The issue isn't so much getting artistic labor for free as it is about having gotten the labor and then claiming that it was yours. The order itself has no value, and the product value is appropriated from that of others.
