Going to be really candid here; some of you may not want or be ready to hear it, but some things just need to be said. I’ve been in crypto for ~5 years. In that time, I’ve watched so many blockchain and token projects do the same thing: hype up a token, raise a ton of money, then deliver absolutely nothing. Collect Chain feels different. The team didn’t go raise $100M and promise the moon. They believe in what they’re building, put their own money in, and got to work… and you best believe they are working. They’re building for the world’s biggest brands and IP to come on chain. They’re securing IP rights for brands while ensuring provenance for collectors, while also expanding the possibilities of digital ownership via interoperability and self custody. I firmly believe that in the not too distant future, VeVe will be a household name as the go-to place to collect officially licensed premium 3D digital collectibles. With $OMI powering the ecosystem where the world collects on @CollectChain, there will be no limits to what can be accomplished. I’m ready. Are you?

Incorrect, I’ve spoken to the $Toshi community for over a year about why things aren’t going to be the same. It’s actually very basic and quite common sense a taboo investment labeled a scam initially will change drastically after legislation and the entire world starts onboarding. Anyone worth listening to should have been able to tell everyone this. The dumbest conclusion in the world is a space controlled by influencers / cabals of brokies scamming retail will behave the exact same way the elites move. The elites are much more patient and not as thirsty to rug for pennies. Control and power is everything. This didn’t just happen. The signs have been VERY clear. This was never some unpredictable event. It’s common basic knowing that basketball changes from highschool to the NBA. If those once kids are big enough to dunk now more elements are added to the game. The size of the bank accounts are bigger now… so new elements are added to the game 🤷🏾‍♂️ “more money more problems”.

It’s been almost 2 years since I joined @ecomi_ and I’ve made a point not to openly advertise or talk about my conviction and belief in OMI very often. I don’t want people to follow or make decisions based on my beliefs, but I don’t want to feel that I need to hide them either. I’m incredibly honoured and proud to have the opportunity to be a part of the OMI community. My first foray into crypto and blockchain was finding the token in March of 2021. In the years since, I’ve paid my dues, I’ve made mistakes, had my share of wins and my fair share of losses, and met a ton of fantastic people, many of whom I will remain friends with far beyond the crypto landscape. The one constant through the last 4.5 years has been my belief in the vision of digital collecting and conviction that VEVE and ECOMI will be the main driving force in this future landscape. For me the thesis hasn’t changed, and the belief and conviction has only grown stronger over time. When I reflect back on 2021 and see how much the token has changed in the last 4+ years, it’s pretty incredible to see how far we have come. This is despite having to pivot several times due to regulations or compliance, and continually building throughout a 2+ year bear market where other companies dropped like flies, not to mention the fact that no one wanted to hear or learn about NFTs. From daily and seasonal rewards for holding the token, to OMI leaderboards to reward users for participating and functions like OMI to gem so users can fully enjoy both the primary and secondary markets in OMI, the OMI token continues to become more embedded in and essential to the VEVE ecosystem. My conviction was not borne overnight, it stems from over 4 years of daily immersion into this community and thousands of hours of interviews, conversations, IRL meet ups, meetings and more. When I joined the project 2 years ago, I made a bet on myself, and from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to bed, I can hold my head high knowing that I give it all that I can every single day to live up to that expectation I set for myself. To everyone reading this, please don’t let my conviction be yours. No one knows the future, but I look forward to looking back on this is 12 months and further reflecting on how far we will have come, and to always remind myself that the job isn’t finished and to always keep building.
