@PennyRelf @DoubleKidney I run most moths I am unsure about through Obsidentify now. It doesn't always give answers I agree with, but is worth using if you are really stuck. Its suggestions need a sense check using a book, and always look at its alternative suggestions.

At the recent YNU/BCY lepidoptera meeting @DoubleKidney mentioned the Obsidentify app. as an aid to ID moths. I tried it out on a tiny bee today and it tells me it's 99% Gooden's Nomad Bee a first for our garden.
