@SarahRa97306042 This was a very insightful essay. I loved how you used visual aids in the way that certain cinematography, posing, and lighting continue to feed the male gaze only. It was also interesting that simple changes in the positioning can have such a large impact @cfuchstv and #304f23

Instead of unconscious choices that are harmful to women, filmmakers must be cognizant of the impact of their choices. This will create impactful stories that empower rather than objectify women, even when telling stories through a male POV.

Reframing the way that women are portrayed in films can combat the negative effects of Laura Mulvey’s male gaze theory. @cfuchstv @304F23

@EJChicky @cfuchstv and #304f23 This is in response to EJ's Twitter essay, which would not let me comment on it. Akira Kurosawa is one of my favorite filmmakers. Every time I watch one of his films I always come away with a sense of invigoration.

@Chokoev17 @cfuchstv Back in 2017 when I first started film school, I researched Wes Anderson and I was intrigued by just how innovative and boundary-breaking he truly was. He is a favorite of mine. @cfuchstv and #304f23

"Transform into a Wes Anderson character with a meticulously curated costume! From the timeless elegance of 'The Grand Budapest Hotel' to the charm of 'Moonrise Kingdom,' channel the essence of Anderson's films in your attire. #3034F23 @cfuchstv

@NWGMU This was a very interesting topic and perspective. Not only does it show that there is still an present form of sexism in sports but it also shows that people will always have an opinion. I believe that having a magazine cover/media with him and his wife would be a key moment.

@BenjaminDo87879 @toomuchtv Thank you for sharing! The whole time you were writing I couldn't help but think of the term, anti-hero. There definitely was a shift in superhero cinema from overly positive themes to more complex themes.

The consistency, comfort, connection, and hope found in sitcoms are often something that we lack in our constantly changing everyday life. From the 1950s to the 1990s and beyond, sitcoms have not only Wanda Maximoff’s safe place but America’s safe space! @cfuchstv #304F23

Sitcoms became popular again in the 80s & 90’s becoming one of America’s favorite pastimes. Even though it's not the most majestic piece of storytelling, it's one of the most relatable. @cfuchstv #304F23

Wanda Vision and the Safety of Sitcoms: Wanda & Vision, a power couple in the Marvel Universe set the backdrop for this eerie dark comedy series which highlights the important role of the American sitcom. So... Let's talk about WANDAVISON! @cfuchstv and #304F23

Is it possible that Wanda got some of her expectations of how life would be from sitcoms as a child but was conflicted when life, especially when American life didn't match up? @cfuchstv and #304F23

So I'm wondering if Wanda would have been clinically diagnosed with disassociated personality disorder, multipersonality disorder, or PTSD. @cfuchstv and #304F23

Ever since I was 10 years old I would pick a sitcom and watch all the episodes in order. To this day, 14 years later I'm still doing this. Wanda and I have something in common, I see. @cfuchstv and #304F23
