Usually the only thing that happens prior to Draft night is if a club is looking to trade up or down, they will call some clubs in the area they prefer to be and let them know that they may be willing to move. Then on draft night if you’re trying to move down, you wait for calls to come in. As far as moving up, then they have to make the call. So for the most part it happens Draft night but often talks start 3-5 picks before they would be on the clock

Too many feel final decisions are made draft night. That’s not close to being accurate. All types of scenarios are gone over and a decision is made in meetings the final days before the Draft. In short, it’s similar to putting the Sunday game plan together. During the week, the plan is put together, on Draft Weekend that plan is executed
