Spokane has a high percentage of people receiving health coverage through Apple Health (Medicaid). The cuts to coverage and tax credits will hit us hard. It’s a negative spiral as people drop coverage and costs shift. We need Congressional action.

Cold temps did their thing and so did our crew. ❄️💪 The Numerica Skate Ribbon re-opens tomorrow, 12/20 at 2 PM! After a short closure due to warm weather, our maintenance team put in the work to get the ice back in great shape. Big thanks to the behind-the-scenes MVPs who made it happen. Youth sports stories often highlight the worst aspects of the culture. Here’s the opposite. While waiting an extra few minutes for the Zamboni to finish, Junior Kraken Girls were dancing when their opponent (Spokane boys team) joined in. Youth sports can/should be fun!

This weekend in Spokane, General Baptist Convention Northwest partnered with local leaders and Project DASH to distribute 250 Thanksgiving meals to families across the community. 🦃🧡 @MayorSpokane summed it up perfectly: “It takes all of us to ensure the basic needs of our most vulnerable are met… Spokane residents do this in spades.”
