No new funding in 2026. The executive board? All developers, bankers, and lobbyists, zero renters, teachers, or working families represented. After 2+ years and 11,854+ signatures: zero affordable housing units reported built as a direct result. Progress = “awareness,” ads, social media, and events — not homes. The crisis? Utah’s housing shortage ~40,000+ units (structural gap persists; need ~28,000 new homes/year to catch up). Median home prices ~$530,000–$550,000 (Zillow ~$533k; recent sales/median listing around $510k–$550k). Homelessness hit 4,584 in 2025 PIT count (up 18% from 2024), with chronic cases rising sharply. Families still pay way over 30% of income on housing. No competitive process, no audit of the $3M, no diverse voices shaping policy. Utahns deserve real results — actual homes — not PR from connected insiders. Demand transparency, push for measurable outcomes, and support zoning reforms that truly help working families.

I stopped by the warehouse that was sold to DHS/ICE. It’s massive. We cannot let the sort of human suffering and indignity that happens at these facilities continue. Demand your elected officials stand up, speak out, and use whatever power they have to prevent this from happening. Abolish ICE. Prosecute. Make good trouble.
