We sent this correspondence last night asking for clarity and the campaign's counter-proposal. Instead, they fired 40+ staffers today.

Many staff members who were fired relied on this paycheck to survive. We will not leave them behind. To support mutual aid efforts for our fired workers, Venmo @moralesunion-mutualaid. Funds will be distributed to staffers with the most need.

This morning, the Mayorales Union sent the following letter and MOA to Dianne Morales. We are requesting her approval and signature of the MOA by Friday, June 4th at 2pm ET.

This has been a tough couple of weeks in election season. What we know is that workers should be protected. People make a movement and we need to stand with the people. I appreciate the work of @MayoralesUnion and I’m calling on @Dianne4NYC to negotiate in good faith.

New Yorkers deserve leadership that recognizes & respects the power of the people. All workers deserve fair compensation & treatment. I'm standing in solidarity with @MayoralesUnion as they fight for the restitution they deserve. I call on @Dianne4NYC to negotiate in good faith.

To say that how the Morales campaign has treated it’s staff is disappointing is an understatement. I stand with the campaign workers who faced chronic abuse, discrimination, and unequal compensation, and call for @Dianne4NYC to meet their demands in good faith.
