Going to college for the first time at 51 after living most of my life in a cult and only having an 8th grade education hasn't been easy. But I took my first NYU final exams this week and I'm glad I decided to educate myself. It's never too late. It's tough, but it's worth it.

My students are worried about inflation, climate change, Kazakhstan, their sick family members, getting into college, and they've all apparently seen the new Spiderman movie. This is what I've learned on the first day back in-person.

@Deeesssstiny__ I was told SIDS is caused, say how us adults fall into a deep sleep. When babies & infants fall into a deep sleep they end to forget how to breath. & even a touch with bring them back to breathing. Not sure how accurate it is but it was a worker who works with babies told me.

I lost my daughter yesterday out of the blue. She was extremely healthy and happy and died peacefully in her sleep! I’m torn and heartbroken and devastated! Pray for us

@jencoles9 What other options to a divorce? Legal separation and time to receive counseling for you and the children, mostly, in preparation. Divorces are more painful, the longer you wait. Ideally, high school and colleges courses on marriage and divorce should be required.

I’m tired of getting divorced. There should be a time cap like in CrossFit. If you don’t finish your divorce in X amount of months it’s automatically over. Your score is how many motions you filed that were actually heard. There are no winners but at least it ends.

As a sociologist and a Christian I am amazed at the different tone and content of sermons in my mother’s working poor and my own affluent middle class church: While her pastor speaks of a God of condemnation and restriction mine exalts him for his gifts!
