I've seen a large amount of summer half tights wearing in the Boston running community. I can't even conceive of half tights above 70 degrees.

If heat training really is equivalent to altitude training, then this summer in Massachusetts has been fantastic for marathon training. Other than there's really no place to go "lower" for workouts.

@nxthompson I've seen different versions of this chart through the years and I'm always struck by the fact that a 65 year-old can still run 70% what he did at his peak. If you were a 28 minute 10k runner at 18, you can still run a 36 minute 10k at 65. That is still faster than most.

Never finished a marathon without cramping. I know you’re not supposed to try anything new on race day but it only happens in races... Any tips? Salt tabs? Bio freeze? Hot shot??
