@MrAndersonELA I did when I started. I didn't even realize - you don't know what you don't know. I wish someone would have called me in sooner.

Most teachers hold surprisingly conservative and harmful beliefs about children, school, and life.

What opinion about Education will have you like this?

@WillieETCarver Thank you for speaking out for our queer kids. I will never understand how anyone can claim their religious beliefs above the lives of young people.

@kennedy_tierney Smaller class sizes and increased classroom, clerical, and therapeutic support.

@guustweet Audio books! When my eyes are too tired to work but my brain still needs a distraction, the libby app gives me free audio books.

What are your tips for hobbies for people with ability level ‘barely existing, always horizontal.’ ?
Asking for me.
I need a new hobby. Being alone with my thoughts all the time is becoming exhausting and boring.

@KatiePunsly My room is disgustingly swampy, even with a dehumidifier running. The hall outside my room, where no one needs to be except during class change, is refreshingly cool and dry. Make it make sense.

I've purchased a fan, air purifier, and air freshener for my classroom but that doesn't change that it has been 78° in my room at 7 am without students. Systems need to be updated for heated and cool, clean air. The #KYGA24 should be focused on passing policy like this.

@LouSchoolBeat I did. As a student, and even as an adult, I felt pressured to hold hands and pray to Jesus, everywhere from band contests to faculty meetings. Getting picked on by the youth group kids turned out to be a pretty formative core memory for me.

@LouisvilleDad @MurphyCartoons @LouSchoolBeat @Dunn4KY I don't think jcps has broken the system. I think jcps has been trying to maintain an unsustainable service as long as possible.
English

@McCording2Emily @MurphyCartoons @LouSchoolBeat @Dunn4KY These are all fair questions, but I expect that the magnet routes would have fewer discipline issues (maybe not-my surmise is based on a track record of privilege). But they need to be explored. JCPS has broken its transportation system, perhaps irreversibly.
English

@LouisvilleDad @MurphyCartoons @LouSchoolBeat @Dunn4KY I don't know if the general public sees how good at his job Dr. Pollio is, outside of this (admittedly major) problem.
English

@McCording2Emily @MurphyCartoons @LouSchoolBeat @Dunn4KY The more this goes on, the more I feel we need sweeping changes in leadership.
English

@LouisvilleDad @MurphyCartoons @LouSchoolBeat @Dunn4KY Next Q, how much more does it cost to contract out than to pay our own drivers a living wage, can local companies handle the volume, will they have a jcps staff monitor on board to manage bus issues with jcps accountability, and what happens when they quit bc it's hard?
English

@McCording2Emily @MurphyCartoons @LouSchoolBeat @Dunn4KY Solution: Contract out to Miller Transportation all the magnet school runs, and add a fee to the bills parents pay to those schools. (Even resides schools charge fees for things.). Strict discipline rules.
