@Blitzwalker@ukpubbitch 33/1 would have been good 2 days ago. If you’d got on that and then she clung on until 2023, you’d have given your money to the rich bookies. Liz likes it when we give to the rich 🤑
Welcome to the Croxted Road ring of smog. Nearly a year on from the introduction, and no sign of traffic disappearing. This cannot become the new normal. @AirCroxted@Cavalierofinn2@BraganzaCathy
@McDonaldSimon@AirCroxted@Cavalierofinn2@BraganzaCathy for one thing you could support measures that are designed to discourage car use. Instead, you oppose them. You and others don't want 'clean air for all', you want dirty air for all - the status quo, no attempt to cut emissions, 'freedom' to drive everywhere.
@alessia_borri@AirCroxted@Cavalierofinn2@BraganzaCathy I've lived here for 20 years, and can assure you it hasn't always been like this. And neither has Rosendale Road. What has changed is that I can't open my windows in the morning as we're trapped inside. What behaviour would you like me to change as I sit in my house?
@McDonaldSimon@AirCroxted@Cavalierofinn2@BraganzaCathy Croxted has always been like that. Until people give up the car, this isn't going to change, LTNs or not. It is easier to blame LTNs, though, because otherwise ppl would need to make changes, and they don't want to do it.
This is the reality of living by Croxted Road. Same most weekday mornings and evenings. It has to stop. Sick of being experimented with. @AirCroxted@ChitchClaire
@peterwalker99@LondonPooch Agree the binary LTNs are good or bad, doesn't work in many cases. Specifically on Croxted Road the issue was lots of speeding cars and some congestion at the junction. Now we have all the traffic at a standstill for 5 hours a day. That doesn't seem like progress for residents.
This was Hawarden Grove at 9am this morning. Queuing on the side roads to get onto the stationary Croxted car park. We've been absolutely screwed over. @AirCroxted
@DylBryn@margynewens@busbf11@RM_Leeming Anyone lucky enough to have bought property anywhere in London in last 25 years has seen massive house price inflation. You didn't expect to be in lottery where ALL the traffic got dumped on you with no say in it. And neither do renters. Or kids. Or pedestrians. Or cyclists.
@margynewens@busbf11@RM_Leeming The reality is that LL, Croxted, & EDG are all A roads. The housing stock on these roads has seen ridiculous growth over the years and now people who paid/pay £££ in some cases are pissed off that they live on a busy road with fumes and noise.
See that bus? It took it six minutes to travel the roughly 100 metres from Hawarden to Guernsey Grove via the Croxted Road car park. Misery, and its backed all the way up. @AirCroxted
@BereMills@AirCroxted Yeah, but then Finny, I'd miss out on all the bars, and night life and ...oh...fair enough. Hope you're well mate, that does look OK!
Beautiful day as we gently choke on Croxted Road. The bridge is completely open in Herne Hill, so that excuse is gone now. How bad does it get before action is taken? @AirCroxted
