I paid $4.89 a gallon in Buckhead, GA yesterday on my way home. Most expensive fill-up of my life. I also stopped in Greensboro at three gas stations but at each one the pumps were cycled off and the immigrant attendants kept telling people to come inside to pay which I assumed was a skimming scam so I drove on even though I had no gas left.

What GOP Congressman MIke Lawler of New York has done is truly impressive. He has spearheaded the worst two legislative initiatives of Trump's administration. First, he was the point man in pushing the SALT tax deduction cap from $10,000 to $40,000 cutting the tax bills of high-income blue state Democrats by almost $600 billion over five years, while doing nothing for those who live in fiscally responsible low-Red tax states. Now, he's pushing the most serious legislative amnesty attempt by the GOP since the original "Gang of Eight" legislation in 2013. I am basically always going to say "vote GOP" no matter what in a general election. Post primary, even a really, really bad GOP Congressman is a vote you need to win the majority. But in a case like this, where the Congressman in question has proven spectacularly successful at scoring points-- but all of those points are for the other team, I'd think twice before voting for him-- even in a general election.
