I just received a call from the nursing home that one of my residents… the man I’ve been advocating for, has passed away. I arrived as quickly as I could, and as I walked in, I unexpectedly overheard an aide say, “Good, one less on my list.” Those words hit me like a punch to the gut. This man had no family. For seven years, I’ve been the one standing up for him.. making sure he ate properly, went to specialists, was well clothed, I gave him regular haircuts, and had the small necessities that brought him a little comfort and dignity. He mattered. He wasn’t just a name on a list. I’m turning her in. You bet your as$.. I am. I’m still so upset. Before they came to take him away, I had a few quiet minutes with him. I prayed that Jesus would take him home gently and give him the peace he deserved. He was never alone. Not while I was there. And I won’t let this go unanswered. I’m home and I’m relaxing in my jacuzzi.

SISTER HEALTH UPDATE: I spoke to my sister today. She is in a convalescent facility for the next 20 days after her quadruple bypass surgery. She was having a hard time today. It's a little bit difficult for her to breathe. She's in a facility with people that are much older than her and many of them not altogether there mentally so she feels a little out of place. She's lonely and a little bit afraid right now because of the breathing problems. I just visited her yesterday and will stop by again tomorrow. I brought her lots of snacks and comfort food. Please keep her in your prayers.

I just got my report back from an X Ray. I have arthritis of the spine, especially in the L5 area. Right now they are deciding if I'm to go to PT first then an orthopedic surgeon. I am down, 1 errand a day wears me out. I'm 65 and had plans to visit my kids, finally, after my sister died in August, 2025. Now, life is on hold. Prayers would be appreciated. Thanx.
