"Unlearning" might seem passive, but in education, it actually takes work! Acknowledging past procedures is important, but constantly looking to improve our classrooms is of highest importance! #diglitclass
I am a firm believer that grades, tests, and scores, have become the forefront of education today instead of true learning. It is a sad truth, but there is no reason as to why we can't combat it today! #diglitclass
For the most part it seems that learning has taken the back seat in education behind grades. Grades are supposed to help us develop our schools, not guide them.

Well, my friends, this is my final required tweet. It has been a fun semester, and I am grateful for this opportunity with you all! ✌🏽 #Summer19#digLITclass
@BrianDoll22 I agree. However, employing possible teachers to be counselors in charge of 4-5 students and their own individual goal could be a recipe for success #digLITclass
I don't think North Star's system is very practical for most schools though. They have individual counselors for students. Most schools just can't come close to affording that. #diglitclass
I love the idea that Dr. Gray has brought to school systems. This is a huge way for students to be in charge and actually LEARN the material #digLITclass
Grades and tests are more important know. In the world it doesn't matter if you know the material, just as long as you were willing to do the work. Grades do not determine knowledge. #digLITclass
I do think teachers need to unlearn to be successful. By doing so they learn what students need to and don't need to know. Find the material students need to stick to #digLITclass
I think what Richardson means by unlearning is that students are simply understanding the material so they can pass in the classroom but afterwards get rid of the material because they find it unnecessary. #digLITclass
