Martin Kaymer is 52nd in the 2026 @livgolf_league standings. He was 37th last year and 40th the year before. He’s never finished better than 8th in any LIV event. He just shot 67 & is currently co-leading the #PGAChamp. #predictable 😂 @Cleeks_GolfClub

Bryson DeChambeau gets Round 2 started with a perfect tee shot. 🚀
Can he make a move and play his way into the weekend?

Jon Rahm hit a flyer on the 7th hole today and then took a swing in frustration at the grass and ended up hitting a volunteer with his divot.
After the round he was incredibly apologetic and fully owned up to his poor etiquette:
“Thanks for reminding me of that. I got a flier on my second shot that went long. It's not a good spot. Just out of frustration, I tried to make an air swing, just over the grass, and I wasn't looking, took a divot, and unfortunately, I hit a volunteer.
“Yeah, it hit him, and unfortunately it hit him in the shoulder and then the face. Which I couldn't feel any worse. That's why I was there apologizing. I need to somehow track him down to give him a present because that's inexcusable and for something that could be completely avoidable.
“Whether it was my intention or not, it was just not good.”
Jon still shot an opening 1 under par 69 with birdies on his last 2 holes to be just 2 shots off the current lead.

The comments here prove just how easily people get triggered…
Guess I gotta write it all out…
1) Post doesn’t say “why I” - it’s not a take or my personal opinion. It’s an observation.
2) Post doesn’t say we won’t get a good winner on Sunday. In fact, we usually do, but that has nothing to do with the observation.
3) “You don’t know Golf” - if only there was some documented, decade-long way you could see if I know anything about Golf…
4) Most importantly, it’s not a secret that the PGA Championship is super gap DFL away from the other 3 Majors when people rank them.
People wait all year for the Masters, obviously. The course, the history etc. It’s special to everyone. Hard to argue/top.
For the U.S. Open, there’s always a storyline leading in with the course, USGA and it’s always got natural, American hype behind it. Ryder-Cup-esque feel.
For the Open, it’s unique, overseas and in some cases we all stay up super late and watch overnight golf etc. Just hits different.
The biggest complaint of PEOPLE with the PGA Championship is that there’s nothing to really get hyped for and then if the board comes out with Scottie up top people complain, or if it comes out flat like I posted, it can kill the vibe even further.
People then have to wait until Sunday for any hype here. It’s the same way a lot of people only watch the 4Q in the NBA, the 3P in the NHL, the 7th-9th in MLB etc.
Not ideal. 🤷♂️

This is why people hate the PGA Championship

Golf Channel drops another masterclass in serious sports journalism! 🙄
Want balanced analysis on the future of LIV Golf? Nah. Let’s wheel out the two biggest smear merchants in the game — Eamon Lynch and Brandel Chamblee — for another circle-jerk of hot takes and selective outrage.
Lynch, especially, rolling up with those painfully pre-written “one-liners” that land like a shank into the water — “picking one snowflake out of a blizzard,” “selling a deck on the Titanic”… bruh, we can hear the script in your head. Next-level cringe.
Peak professional coping.
