Jay Onair recreate Mo Abudu's experience at the premiere of The Return Of Arinzo

In March 2023, after about 2 years of dating my Ijaw woman, I told my dad and family I was ready to propose. My dad asked for her full name so he could take it to a pastor he trusts for prayers and confirmation. I had even been to that church a few times myself, so I didn’t see anything wrong with it. 3 days later, I was called to meet the pastor. He looked at me and said plainly: “This woman is not the one for you. If you marry her, things will go badly.” I didn’t argue. I just thanked him and said I’d keep praying for clarity. Fast forward… July 2023: I celebrated her birthday. August 2nd, 2023: I proposed. September 2023: I moved into our own place. December 2023: We got married (both legally and traditionally). August 2024: Our baby came, and life has been moving forward beautifully with God, for God and under God. Now imagine if I didn’t know God for myself? This is a woman who brought structure into my life. Money I couldn’t save since 2015, I was able to save within 8 months in 2023......just because she helped me plan better. Sometimes, it’s not about disrespecting pastors or ignoring instructions from spiritual leaders. But you need to have your own relationship with God. Na you wan marry. Not your pastor. Not your family. Pray for personal discernment. Grow with Go and Listen for yourself. Because at the end of the day, na your life you dey live.
