@TeaAndNoodles @calstanvard I agree with the Byfield era eventually, I just think it’s too soon right now. Mikey is a solid choice though. I was actually thinking Kempe because he feels like a bridge between the old Kings culture and the newer generation of the team.

80s were a FUCKING mess. I lived through it. If anyone needs proof just look at how those kids turned out. They're the boomers who wouldn't give a starving kid money because the kid may spend it on ice cream. Both the preppies and outcasts turned into self righteous fucks.

I think about education a lot more than hockey. As a parent I have four things I think about.
- Education (equality)
- Health (quality)
- Food (safety)
- Peace (security)
When access to any of them are threatened or insufficient then we are all fucked.

@calstanvard Yessss I agree!! I’m in SoCal. My son is starting at community college and then transferring. Honestly, I think it’s the smarter decision

@MeMamaLee I live in California and most kids here should go to community college for a couple years then transfer to UC or another 4-yr college but kids won't do it. They view that as a failure. Cheap used to be smart. Cheap is now viewed as bad.

College is a mess in the US. In every first world country an undergrad education costs $3k-16k per year. Here it's $15k-72k per year and that's just for tuition. It's $200k-450k all in assuming 4 yrs to graduate. It takes 20 yrs to pay off a $200k student loan w/ $100k/yr salary.

Watch this at 0:29. Ceci is supposed to take Kadri down low. Goalie has the guy above the dot. But instead Ceci just stands between the guy up top and Kadri down low. And he doesn't even disrupt the passing lanes w/ his stick. Nor is he ready to block a shot. So frustrating
