De partijen staan weer lijnrecht tegenover elkaar. Net zag ik een video waarin iemand meer dan een uur door 'demonstranten' werd achtervolgd, omdat haar auto in een ICE-database zou voorkomen die de (blijkbaar strak georganiseerde) demonstranten kunnen raadplegen. En in plaats dat lieden als Walz zich achter het regeringsbeleid scharen, al was het maar om verdere escalatie te voorkomen (de kans dat het mis gaat in de chaos veroorzaakt door anti ICE-demonstranten, is immers vele malen groter dan wanneer de agenten ongestoord hun werk kunnen doen), jagen die de ongeregeldheden nog eens extra aan. Dat vind ik nog de grootste schande; dat je mensen het idee geeft dat ze zich met alle middelen tegen ICE mogen verzetten, en dan moord en brand gaat schreeuwen als dat mis gaat.

Ik hoor dus net dat één van die vredelievende demonstranten een vinger van een ICE agent heeft afgebeten. Laat dat eens even bezinken.
