I'm glad I found the confidence to keep going to the gym, it's like a second home to me now. But I know those first few sessions and the first programme you do (even if it's a bit made up) can be nerve wracking but that's part of the process

The first time I went to the gym I had all the same worries everyone else does “What if I do something stupid?”, “Is everyone going to be looking at me?”, “Should I wear something baggy to cover up the fact I’m skinny?” I was so nervous I tried finding the floor plan to the gym

I want as many people as possible to learn what I've learned - your body is amazing, it can do more than you give it credit for. Give yourself 6 months, or a year, or 5 years and see what you can become I want to help people find enjoyment from bettering themselves

If you told me to do 100 push ups a day I'd smash it... for about a week, then I'd give up because it's unsustainable. But going in the gym most days and giving just 1% more than I did yesterday? That I can do! And so can you!

You see most people want a simple answer like "oh I just followed this diet, did 100 push ups and 50 sit ups a day". The truth is far less heroic and far less exciting. But it is so much more achievable

A lot of people having been asking me about my progress in the gym. A lot of the time, the answer isn't what they're looking for... "More than 400 training sessions over 18 months, most of which were at 6am"
