Have you ever been to Washington D.C. or you have you ever perhaps looked at the White House? Are you familiar with the architecture? He designs following the same philosophy. Also, his view of modern architecture makes sense and no one is proposing that a ballroom attached to the White House not be architecturally consistent. Such a thing would be insane.

I went to a steakhouse in Miami, paid the bill, and they automatically added a 20% tip. When the waiter brought the check, he said: “That tip goes to the whole establishment—if you want to leave something for me, it’s extra.” I didn’t add anything else—20% is already too much. He gave me a dirty look, like I was robbing him. This tipping culture is out of control.

The New York Times takes an architectural look at the coming White House ballroom and finds there is a lot of ornamental stairs to no where and faux windows with bathroom stalls behind them

@DamonZumbroegel @TennisonEddie Lol. It’s designed by one of the most respected architects in the US, James McCrery, who is a distinguished, well-respected and awarded architect. I’m sorry that you hate it because “ugh, orange man bad” but his work speaks for itself and is exquisite.

New Ballroom Addition to the Whitehouse is HORRIBLE! Shame on the architects, shame on the president, and shame on the people of the USA for letting their “house” get such a bad addition. “……But, it’s being privately funded” is the excuse most people give. Or, “I don’t care what they build”. Are these the same people that have pride in their country? I think they are. I am an US citizen, and I am calling this out as ………….lame as can be. I’m not even going to use “architecture words” I paid for in college, for this project does not deserve them. I’m going to make up a new word……”FUGLY”. I put the two best words to describe this building together into one word.

Bishop Martin of Charlotte explaining that the communion rail has no place “in the liturgical life of the Novus Ordo” since the norm (in the US) is to receive Communion standing. Possibly His Excellency can cite the liturgical text or section of the GIRM stating such a ban?
