@MeatballsRedux
Return of the Meatballs. Here for the three Cs: cards, collectibles, and cavatappi. New account after randomly getting locked out of the old one.

DCSports pulled this most recent listing after it was flagged as counterfeit again.
Appears like @dcsports87 and @pc_sportscards also canceled the earlier sales after they were flagged. Neither shows up as verified on eBay.

This is the 2nd time DCsports has listed a fraudulent Legendary Collection Booster Box. What're you guys even doing over there
English

@PokeHEX5555 Hey @bourassa_kyle, just fyi that it looks like you guys have another counterfeit booster box among your consignments.

@novaxnomask That's fair and certainly seems possible.
It certainly seems like there is some skepticism with the price where it's at right now.
English

@MeatballsRedux I agree but it could've been misplaced. I lost the accompanied COA to one of my signed Jordan UDA 16x20's.
The signature looks real and the hat is the correct size that Jeter wore.
I feel like buyers are skeptical though too because the price seems low, no?
English

@novaxnomask I'm not an expert, but seems like a red flag that the only authentication measure seems to be this Steiner sticker that does not even have a cert/item number attached.

English

@MTTrading2 @MeatballsRedux @eBay After the whole snype thing, I agree. Very shady.
I meant with the item itself though.

English

@carlmikel I don't think you were alone in reporting it and it looks like the collective action or attention got them to finally shut down the auction. Good work!
English

@MeatballsRedux I messaged the website hosting this and they said they would create an internal report but that was a few days ago

@MeatballsRedux I manage a property in Stockton and actually post my auction units to Storage Treasures as well, this happens, the owner of the unit stages a storage unit, it sells for a big price, the storage company only keeps what they owe and issues a check for the overage, happened once to

An update with an explanation of the sourcing on this trove of uncut sheets from Dallas:

I Am (Still) Meatballs@MeatballsRedux
After a recent issue with Yugioh cards coming from a printing facility (see quote), there's now an issue with Magic and Lorcana sheets with a similarly sketchy background. What's going on in Dallas?
English

@ShanksterIRL Even that might be too authentic. I’ll bet this one was straight from Etsy.
English

@beatthebooks23 They probably realized they shouldn’t knowingly sell a bunch of counterfeit goods (or at least not with the all the attention this listing was getting). I know @RattlePokemon contacted the storage unit and auction company about it and I’d guess he was not the only one.
English

@ArtyNxtDoor No kidding! The good news is that they canceled the auction.
English

@MeatballsRedux I was going to bring this up on the Reddit when they weren’t surprised with the price but who has that to risk that all of that stuff is real and isn’t some sort of setup
English

@RodmansSidechic @CardVaultKC Maybe that’s true where you are, but that’s not what the law says in Texas.
Here’s the Texas provision on how exceed proceeds on a storage unit sale need to be handled:

English

@MeatballsRedux @CardVaultKC This is completely asinine. Of course the storage company can profit off of the funds- they own the space. It’s leased, failure to pay the lease forfeits the items in the space.
English

@crtorres11 Yep! It’s cracked at the top and the CGC slab right above it is cracked along the bottom.
English

@MeatballsRedux My young son said he could tell that was a setup unit also. He said nobody would have a Wagner that looks like would be highest graded Wagner like that if it was real and the Charizard slab looks cracked open on the top also he said
English

@CardVaultKC Think there’s a strong chance it was setup to fool people, but, if so, the scammer is the prior unit owner.
The storage company can only take money to cover the outstanding rent and costs of the sale while the rest has to go to the original owner of the unit.
English

@MeatballsRedux Imagine the storage company paid to set this up in a customers storage unit that stopped paying or died. Just so they could rake in on the auction they knew it would bring? Looks way to setup.
English

@Nesterp99 The CGC slab right above it is cracked, too. Just everything about the lot is bad.
English

@RattlePokemon FWIW the guy doing the storage auction videos has run into a similar scam before. Here he goes into how one unit was deliberately staged with cards (starts at 5:37): youtu.be/J5qPRJ94a0I?t=…
Here's the legit PSA slab for that cert, too.
