Greetings fellow Ugandans, fellow Africans and especially, the Bazzukulu.   I am sending out this message to, first of all, thank God for giving Maama and myself our wonderful children: Muhoozi (Muogi), Natasha (Kukuru), Patience (Pusi) and Kyaremeera (Kyinini)., protecting them and prospering them.  Secondly, I want to thank Maama for looking after them especially for the years 1981-86 when she was the only parent near them. Thirdly, I salute the children for going through the school systems and branching out successfully in the different fields of life – family, career, etc. Fourthly, I thank the Ugandans and some of the Africans for standing with and supporting our family and Political movement in the various endeavours we have been undertaking with them. On this occasion, on the 24th of April 2026, I want to congratulate Gen. Muhoozi (Muogi) on this 52nd birthday. These children, in particular Muhoozi, were born in the resistance, grew up in the resistance, and, in various ways, have made significant contribution to the resistance. Gen. Muhoozi has made significant contribution to fighting corruption in the Army and increasing the lethality of the UPDF.

Since we are running for Charity, i want to spice it up with a proposal of a race with in a race between me, @HonKyeyune and @BalaamBarugahar. The last two to cross the 10KM line will donate 5M each to our leader’s cause. Waiting for SG @DaudiKabanda to rule on the matter🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️

Earlier today, I made my inaugural visit to the headquarters of the Patriotic League of Uganda, where I acquired kits for the MK Birth Run in solidarity with my brother, Gen. @mkainerugaba, and his vision to foster renewed hope among vulnerable communities and promote fitness, patriotism, and charity. I also took the opportunity to express my gratitude to the Chief of Defence Forces for his support and to call upon all Ugandans of goodwill to support the initiative and participate in the Run for Hope.

I had the pleasure of visiting the home of my daughter, the Woman MP-elect for Masaka, Hon. Justine Nameere, and her dear husband, Nsubuga, where I joined family and friends to witness the Aqiqah of her daughter. Children are truly a blessing from God, and moments like this remind us of the importance of faith, family, and community. I commend Hon. Nameere for taking time, despite her busy political schedule, to honour this important spiritual and family milestone. I also congratulate the Nsubugas upon acquiring a new family home.

Dear friends, family, and valued colleagues, it is with profound sorrow that we share the passing of our beloved Mother, Mama Nakisuyi Ruth Biribawa Safia, mother of my dear husband, Honourable Eng. @MosesMagogo. Mama Ruth peacefully left us this afternoon at Kampala Hospital. A vigil will be held tomorrow, Thursday, 9th April, at our home in Kagulu, Buyende District, followed by her burial on Friday, 10th April. We deeply appreciate your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. May the Almighty Allah grant her eternal peace—Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un.

It was a pleasure to host Natalie and Pangeni Makoma at our residence before their concert tomorrow. I wish to express my sincere gratitude for their significant contribution to the gospel music industry. I also encourage all Ugandans to attend and experience an amazing and exhilarating event. My thanks extend to @newvisionwire for facilitating their visit to our beautiful country.

This morning, I arrived at the Arusha International Conference Centre to join fellow leaders for the 25th Ordinary Summit of the East African Community Heads of State. We shall begin with a closed-door session to review the progress of our regional programmes and discuss the next steps in strengthening cooperation among the partner states for the prosperity of our people.

Earlier today, I had the pleasure of hosting our elder and @NRMOnline Chairman for Kisoro, Hon. Dr Philemon Mateke, at home. Elders like Hon. Philemon possess a wealth of knowledge, and their words serve as vital guidance for this generation of leaders. I wish him continued success and many more years of mentoring Ugandan leaders.

Last evening, we had the lovely opportunity to celebrate with the family and friends of our sister, Hon. Harriet Ntabazi, as she marked a truly special milestone: earning a master's degree in Public Administration from Makerere University. I admire her resilience and determination, which allowed her to balance family commitments, Parliament, the cabinet, and her studies so admirably. We're so proud of her and wish her all the best as she takes on the important role of representing Bwamba County in the 12th Parliament.

I was honoured to join the Rotary fraternity, St. Francis Hospital Nsambya, and many partners in the fight against cancer as we officially launched the Cancer Run 2026. I also had a chance to inspect the construction work on the cancer facility, which is taking shape. I want to applaud all companies and individuals who have contributed to this noble cause over the years, as well as all who have participated in the run. The Parliament of Uganda has, over the years, committed 7.2 billion shillings to this noble cause, and we thank H.E. @KagutaMuseveni for his generous contribution this year.
