@sib313 @DrSteveTaylor I think significantly as given this is about the strikes, the fact that RDs feel disempowered as doctors is part of what led to the dissatisfaction behind the strikes. I don't see education as priority for NHS ATM and it feels each efficiency drive worsens that further

One of the things about working in paediatrics is there are very few units who have FY1s working in them As such it’s been >8y since I’ve worked in a department with freshly minted doctors (and may never again) Seeing all the tweets about it makes me feel I’m missing out!

@jabberwock951 @GaslingSarah If you know in advance where you are rotating to, you could put the leave request in before the 4 months start. I realise that might sometimes be a big "if"

For four months rotations, policies of "we need six weeks minimum notice for leave" and "don't take all your annual leave at the end of the rotation" are not really compatible.
