The guy didn’t ’deserve’ to be kicked in the head, that implies it was done as some form of punishment and that is not what the police are for. Being kicked in the head was the correct and best way to effectively remove the knife and take account of the fact the police had no idea what was in his rucksack.

@Malcolm_Offord It’s a sad day that people can’t see that being successful isn’t a bad thing. Scotland can be an economic powerhouse. We are blessed with natural resources, whisky and fishing to name a few. If reform can focus on economy & stay neutral on social issues you’d have my vote.

@theSNP Terrible plan. Don’t touch private assets like this. Controlling the housing market like this isn’t wise … it’s dangerous. As landlords leave the market you won’t get new ones to replace them. Then where will anyone who wants to rent live?

I don’t smoke. Never have. I have no skin in the game. But this really is draconian. It should not be within the power of the government to interfere with the personal choices of citizens like this.

Crime & policing - harsh penalties for any age groups especially if perpetuating antisocial behaviour. Put ‘em on Kilda if needs must. Fix these things & you’ll have a shot from voters like me.

When people face sky-high food costs, energy bills and petrol prices, they need a government that is focused on supporting them. While Westminster is engulfed in chaos, the SNP will act on the cost of living - capping bus and essential food prices, and expanding childcare.

@ShomBall @buc97552 @theSNP Flats are freehold in Scotland. Nearly all property is sold as freehold here.

@buc97552 @theSNP The semi on its own is bigger than a 3 bed flat, which is also more than likely worthless due to it being a leasehold (as most flats are). Anyone paying for a flat these days needs their brains tested.

This new £2 bus fare for the Highlands should be confined to Highland residents. Our elderly neighbour, who finds online booking difficult, unable to go to her appointment at Raigmore Hospital today, turned away at the bus door because it was fully booked, mostly by £2 tourists.
