National Voluntary Blood Donation 2025 was celebrated by Dept of Transfusion Medicine at MKCG,MCH, Berhampur on 23rd October,Occasion graced by Dean & Principal , Superintendent Registrar(Admin) &HOD of Transfusion Medicine. 63 Voluntary Blood Donation Camp were Felicitated.

Odisha Blood Center, Dept. Blood Transfusion Medicine,MKCG,Mch, Berhampur is thankful Mr.Sukanta Kumar Moharana,61,Ganjam who donates blood(Bomba phenotype, very rare blood group for a needy patient.Global prevalence of Bombay phenotype is 0.0004%.

World blood donor day was celebrated by Odisha BloodCenter, Department of Blood Transfusion Medicine,MKCG,MCH,Berhampur on14/6/25 in the premises of Blood center.3 number of VBD camps was organised,Total-336 units of blood collected.

World Thalassemia day,8th May 2024 an awareness programme regarding prevention , blood transfusion,bone marrow transplantation and surgical aspects of thalassemia the event was organised by Odisha blood centre, Dept of Transfusion Medicine,MKCG Medical College Berhampur

On occasion of International labour day ,May 1 2024 Odisha Medical Outsourcing Employees Union of MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur have come forward and voluntarily donated 60 blood units to Odisha blood centre in the premises of MKCG Medical College.

1st time in MKCG an endoscopic surgery called as Thoracoscopic surgery was conducted on a tiny 2.1 kg small baby for congential diaphragmic hernia a rare life threatening condition in new born headed by dept of Paediatric Surgery with team of Paediatrician and Anaesthesist .

A 9Yrs -old female child with rare cushing syndrome underwent first- ever laparoscopic bilateral Adrenalectomy in MKCG Medical College, berhampur with pediatric surgery , Endocrionlogy urology Anesthesiology, and pediatrics teams dated on 9/04/24.

National Voluntary blood donation day was celebrated by Odisha blood center,Dept of Transfusion Medicine on 11th october.Chaired by Dean& Principal,Superintendent &,Registar,(Admin)50VBD Camp organizers were felicitated on the occasion. Prizes distributed for poster making.

@##Good works#action taken##As per complaint received by Registrar(Administrator),& Superintendent with hospital managers visited to ICU and found aquisition was true.so the staff involved in that malicious activity got disengaged wef from 1/09/23@####.
