@dailyherald @BurtConstable @Toyota Happy retirement, Burt! Yours was usually the first column I'd turn to in DH. You've shown us the best of humanity. I discovered fascinating people through your columns; loved reading your Thanksgiving family updates. I'll miss you & your writing. Enjoy retirement!

@KingKoala79 @SnoqualmiePass Glad you are ok. I was on the 9am shuttle yesterday from Eburg - SEA and i90 was beautiful and clear the whole way. We knew the snow was coming in a few hours. I also do not plan to travel thru the Cascades during the winter any more!

Due to heavy snowfall, poor visibility & avalanche danger west of the summit, I-90 will remain closed between North Bend (MP 34) to Ellensburg (MP 106). An update will be provided at 5 p.m.

With a Cesar Chavez bust prominent in the Oval Office now, what are some good books about Chavez or union organizing? #AskALibrarian

@nyplmulberryst I really liked Haddix's series Shadow Children so I'll add Uprising to TBR. Thanks!

@MedievalBats Also, I'd be super interested to read Uprising by Margaret Peterson Haddix. It's about the labor union that emerged from the Triangle Shirtwaist fire. -Denise

@MedievalBats It's not a book, but the film Pride is an excellent take on the role of LGBT groups and the British miner's strike. -Denise

@PrinceWmLibrary Geronimo Stilton is eye-catching with wacky fonts; might appeal to younger readers. Hank Zipzer series by Henry Winkler is a lot of fun.

#askalibrarian In honor of the big snow in northeast (where I do not live) - are there humorous books involving snow storms?

They Called Us Enemy by George Takei is well worth checking out! It tells the story of his family's imprisonment in internment camps during WWII.

Hello #AskALibrarian. Looking for graphic novels of historic events. I just finished the heartbreaking/incredible Kent State by Derf Backderf.
