At Medrano Junior High, Megan Gudeman co-teaches with 7th-grade ELAR every Friday AND organized a virtual author visit with Yamile Saied Mendez for World Read Aloud Day. At Walnut Hill International Leadership Academy, Gabriela Palacios mentored nine 7th graders twice a week for six weeks through an intensive novel study of "Barefoot Dreams of Petra Luna" — complete with dialectical journals.
