Lately, there's been a rise in fake Web3 job posts circulating on X. These posts often promise quick weekly payments for roles such as "community moderators," "content writers," or "graphic designers," usually ranging between $80–$100 or more per week.
While they look legitimate, sometimes even coming from verified or "well-built-up" accounts, most of them are engagement farming schemes. Their goal isn't to hire anyone but to boost likes, reposts, and comments to grow their visibility/impressions, often getting an average of 10k+ views per post.
When fake job posts flood the space, newcomers start doubting real projects, making it harder for genuine builders and recruiters to find talent.
If a post simply says "comment to apply" or "closing in 24 hours," it's a red flag.
Always verify before engaging: get a legitimate source, check the project's history, website, and previous work. Stay safe..
