@KristinRaworth People are at a breaking point, and unfortunately, many use it as an excuse to be assholes. Social media is the world's shittiest playground, and there's far too many bullies. With that said: you are incredible, you a vibrant light, and I am thankful for the messages you share.

You know how some languages have terms that have no direct translation to English for what they mean, because they defy simplification or are just emotionally complex? Is there a language that has a term for sports related heartbreak as a fan? Asking for a friend.

@AngeeGabs Unless there's any indication they have intentionally harmed the animal or been neglectful, charges would be unlikely. I know how stressful pet stuff can be, I just want to make sure we don't hurt people that are probably devastated for having to turn down hurting animals :(

@MegDynamo Thank you for the reminder. I was stressed and forgot to give the rescue grace. I didn’t realize it was standard protocol. I’m just terrified the authorities will charge the person, and they can’t afford that.

@AngeeGabs Also worth noting: the authorities can seize the cat, whereas shelters can't. The owner likely wouldn't get charged, only have the animal seized and sent to a shelter.

@AngeeGabs Most rescues have been WELL past capacity for over a year now, and are very limited in terms of what resources they have to offer. As much as the former owner may have difficult circumstance, that would be the standard protocol that all shelters/rescues can suggest.

Almost every place in Canada has an appeal/complaint process. If this were the police, complaints/investigations would occur. A victim is now potentially traumatized for the rest of her life with no accountability from the courts & it’s occurring time & time again @Safety_Canada

We stand beside you, and we are proud of you for fighting for your health 💙

It’s been 6 months since my last post. During my tenure with the EPA, my PTSD and various trauma became unmanageable & affected my mental & physical health. I was fortunate to go under the care of wonderful people within the @NewlyInstitute & I thank them for saving my life.

@RealAndyLeeShow Well hey, love you got a shout out. That’s awesome. But still not mature to drag it out over social media when you could have called this morning to discuss with ownership civilly. Unless you have PROOF they specifically targeted him w/out cause, it’s hearsay and possibly liable.

@RealAndyLeeShow Also, the ego to assume it was personal and not done to respect their bottom line as other customers and staff were likely displeased is telling. It’s not a business’ job to accommodate your personality or sense of humour at the expense of their ability to make profit.

@RealAndyLeeShow Just as you have a right to report a certain style of news, they have a right to make decisions as entrepreneurs. Slamming them online when they didn’t go out of their way to slander you says and implicates far more, as any journalists would know. Do better.
