I’m incredibly excited to share that I’ll be joining The University of Liverpool’s Sociology, Social Policy and Criminology department (@LivUniSoc) as a Lecturer, commencing Sept 1st! A huge step that wouldn’t have been possible without @SteveRoberts_ and my @MonashSoc family! 🫶🏻

Thrilled to celebrate this with @Kate_FitzGibbon and also @KateLeeKoo in the School of Social Sciences. Across @Monash_Arts six women promoted to Professor is a wonderful outcome. So privileged to work with and have been mentored and supported by so many excellent leaders.

Today marks 9 years since Kevin Rudd declared that no asylum seeker arriving by boat will ever be resettled in Australia. Today 1384 people remain in limbo. Enough is Enough! We call on @AlboMP to end this suffering. #9YearsTooLong
Asylum Seekers Centre@ASCSyd

More than 9 years since Aus started sending people to Nauru and PNG for "offshore processing", 1384 people remain in limbo: - 216 still in PNG or Nauru - 1168 in Aus on short-term visas, in community detention, or detained. It's time to end offshore detention. #9YearsTooLong
