V junior and loved my work so much mainly due to docs who valued all of us and to RN in charge @MeganCorlis who was just fantastic. Remember that time as just the best in 25 years nursing

Our lowest paid workers need a living wage. They deserve a real wage increase. Carers, cleaners, retail workers. So many of our young people and women. With the profit share at an all time high, it’s time to share 💰 it around.

@BarbaraPocock Excellent bill @BarbaraPocock these workers also frequently have physically and psychologically demanding jobs. These workers just aren’t valued for the critical work they do!

The Greens have introduced a Right To Disconnect Bill in Parliament that will protect workers from 'availability creep' where they are effectively on call at all hours through their phones and emails. This amounts to unpaid overtime and workers need to be able to switch off.

Providers certainly know that the Royal Commission recommended more qualified nurses in aged care, not less. Hard-working ENs are now on a slippery-slope and unless the Government intervenes and mandates skill mix percentages or RN/EN/PCA care minutes. #agedcare @Mark_Butler_MP
