The gender pay gap is literally the average difference in earnings between women and men for THE SAME JOB(S). I believe in equal pay for equal work.

@luxemiaa So put the $400 in a shared account then. Paying for groceries is a walk in the park for real and you don’t have to pay electricity, gas, or water. Even if he was to charged you $400 the only problem I see is that is his house to you are essentially paying his debt off

I make 22$ an hour and my partner makes 40$ an hour. We’re both full time. He wants me to move in with him. He wants me to pay for all the groceries and do all the cooking, but also wants me to pay him $400 a month to live in the house he owns. (He’s still paying it off) He keeps saying the money is going to go to his bank account to save for when we “buy a house together” AITA, Or does this feel a bit unfair?

Have you looked into why women have a higher debt to income ratio? It’s due to the gender pay gap. Imagine that.
