UK #starlings have declined 57% since 1995. That is equal to a loss of 2.4 mio breeding pairs in just 20 years. Installing suitable #nestboxes in areas where starlings still nest, is likely to help increase local populations. Any #birder living near paddocks should have one.
After a bird survey in North Yorkshire I popped into Roundhay Park on the way home for the Juvenile Iceland Gull which was probably the easiest bird to see in a long time, it took me several seconds to locate, also nice were several Crossbill & a male Goshawk on my survey site
