Trump just threatened to bomb all of Iran's power plants if Iran doesn't open the Straits within 48h. We know Iran will not comply with this threat. If Trump follows through on his threats, Tehran will likely strike at energy facilities throughout the Persian Gulf as well as in Israel. By now, it is really foolish to think it won't. An already bad situation will worsen with rising oil and gas prices, higher grocery costs in the US, and the closure of most remaining exit ramps. Escalation only intensifies the lose-lose scenario. Both sides need to get serious about off-ramps. Neither side should seek the humiliation of the other. Neither side can force the other's surrender. Both have to be able to construct a convincing narrative of victory for their own audiences. They may not realize it yet, but both the US and Iran ultimately have a common interest in such an exit.

Iran is attacking Dimona in retaliation to the Israeli-American strikes on Bushehr last night. But here is the thing, while Iran can complain to the IAEA because it is a member of the NPT, Israel's nuclear program is not acknowledged officially by the Israeli gov. So they can't complain about something that does not exist.

بكل حسابات العقل إيران تفوقت على كل التوقعات، من اليوم الأول وبرغم تعاطفي مع الإيراني في وجه الاستكبار الامريكي توقعت ان المجانين اللي أعلنوا الحرب عندهم خطة جهنمية لتركيع إيران في غضون أيام وتمنيت فقط أن تستخدم إيران كل ما في يدها وتجرّ المعتدي المتغطرس للوحل والفوضى. لكن بعد ٣ أسابيع إيران بكل المقاييس تواجه بهدوء وذكاء وتلقت الضربات القاسية بدون هلع وانهيارات نفسية.. هدوء يمكّنها من الاستمرار في المعركة لأشهر كدولة كبرى تحرك جبهاتها وعملياتها بفن وانضباط وخطوات محسوبة كأنها أوركسترا تعزف سيمفونية خرمشهر الفارسية الشهيرة.
